Anne

My mom was a social worker in Mpls in 1964. She was good friends with a surgeon, a black woman from Birmingham. My mom wanted to visit her home and her friend, Anna, just laughed and said that the only hope for her hometown was to burn it.

Mom & I have been talking about what her friend might think were she alive. (She's still in touch w/Anna's husband & got a pic from the paper of his nephew [?] in a seat of honor at the DNC in Denver: So proud. Yes, we did.
