How do you make a photo of a squirrel eating all of the seed out of your daughter's new bird feeder into something literary? How about a link to this Larry Brown recipe. No, I haven't hit that level of desperation yet. Yet!

That's one smart squirrel - not only did he navigate that flat surface obstacle you placed inches from the feeder, but also the more difficult platform obstacle made from 2 bricks.

This was the early stages...we made the adjustments and now he only has the flat surface obstacle. Later on, he'll have to dodge bullets.

If you don't want mammals eating from your bird feeder put some hot pepper seeds in the bird seed. Hot pepper seeds have no effect on birds but all mammals react to the hot pepper seeds and I doubt you will continue to have issues.
