What, no tornado? We got one in Brooklyn yesterday. The six summers I lived in Gainesville, FL, we got a tornado warning nearly every summer day (which always seemed to have a peak temp of 104).
According to an article about demographic changes in today's New York Times, Raleigh is getting a huge influx of white people. I think they bring the hot air with them.
