I've had both hands too full of sugar cookies and haystacks to be of much use, thus the silence around these parts. I'm hoping to get some alone time with the computer in the next day or two, so hopefully there will be an Alabama-themed update. Until then, here's my answers to a meme I've seen on more than one site this morning while catching up with the blogline feeds.
Four jobs you’ve had in your life: painter of curbs, digger of holes, washer of dishes, tender of bars
Four movies you could watch over and over: I don't tend to watch movies or TV shows more than once, so this is a tough one. I'll go with Toto le Héros, The Royal Tenenbaums, Taxi Driver, The Last Picture Show
Four places you’ve lived: Atlanta, Georgia; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Pensacola, Florida; San Diego, California
Four TV shows you love to watch: Mythbusters, Arrested Development, The Simpsons, Alternative on VH1 Classic
Four places you’ve been on vacation: An official vacation? Or a two-day road trip. If the former, then Amsterdam. If the latter, then San Francisco, Stockton, Adelanto, Lancaster.
Four of your favorite foods: Fried okra; tiger cry steak; raw oysters; creme brulee
Four places you’d rather be: watching Game 7 of the World Series at Turner Field in Atlanta; whale watching in the northern Pacific; chasing tornadoes; almost anywhere but here*
*And that has nothing to do with spending time with my family. It's more of a reflection of place, like spending more than a few hours in an Alabama town of less than 10,000 folks and where the sidewalks roll in at sundown, and where the town's only decent magazine stand's most literary offering is Redbook.
