While I'm sure a headache is par for most of tonight's NaDruWriNi participants when they wake up in the morning, I fell victim to one hour's before the festivities were to begin. About two drinks into my second 20 oz. coffee and after ten minutes of watching The Weather Man, a sharp pain started developing behind my eyes. I figured this was the result of having eaten only a blueberry scone all day combined with my caffeine intake, so I hoped that my post-movie meal would take care of it. But as I sat in Applebees waiting for my Sicilian steak, I thought my head was going to explode and the thought of eating anything made the now 40 ounces of coffee start working its way up my digestive tract. My wife and I ended up getting "to go" boxes and she rushed me home so that I could Aleve my pain.
I'm just now coming around and after I get back from the bookstore, I'll begin with another cup of coffee with some pain medication in waiting just in case.
Meanwhile, Ed's off to an early start and has had the added benefit of realizing that he has lived a week of his life one hour ahead.
Poor Jeff! Coffee, Sicilian steak, Aleve. (I'm drinking coffee too, by the way.)
